Mason Wasps and Cuckoo wasps

Both these have been very active in the sun today. The beatiful, bejewelled Ruby- tailed Wasp lays its eggs in the same plant stems as the Mason Wasps. The latter have to do all the work filling the stems with Vine Weavil larvae and such to feed their own offspring.
