Moorland Damselflies

A rare sight of the sun today so we headed for Gors Fawr on the Southern edge of the Preseli Hills to look for damselflies.
Parking by Carreg Waldo and heading along the main track out on to the moor we soon came across a Southern Damselfly. (SN132300)
In an hour we saw at least 30  in vegetation around streams in that area (turn right off the path near some rusting farm machinery).
Also on the moor were Keeled Skimmers and Large Red damselflies.
Next, on to adjacent Mynachlogddu common. Park by the playground and access the common through the wooden gate. At SN143304 around the pond we found 4 Scarce Blue-tailed damselflies.
Along the stream were some Emerald Damselflies.
Not a bad afternoon considering the stiff breeze.
