Seal action

Male and female seen mating at the base of Elegug Stack last Saturday and a pair on Little Castle beach yesterday. Plenty of small copper butterflies on the coastal strip on vegetation sheltered from the strong northerly wind.

It looks like I missed the osprey that was fishing at the Gann by one day yesterday as it has probably flown south with the strong northerly. You can see why it was fishing there as water the estuary was full of mullet cruising just under the surface. Absolutely no problem for a fish-eating bird to feed on.

I finished the day filming red admirals feeding on the ivy on the road up to West Dale.
