Barrel Jellyfish

Following up on Andy's posting of 1 June, whilst walking from Penally along South Beach to Castle Beach I counted 324 stranded Jellyfish. Also over 50 counted on North Beach from the balcony of Cafe Vista!

There must be astronomical numbers in the waters around Pembrokeshire at present. See Whales in Wales blog for news on Barrel Jellyfish and Risso's Dolphins at Manorbier a couple of days ago.

  1. It was the best day I can remember for capturing puffins in flight as the wind direction from the NE help them up as they tried to land at the Wick. The Holy Grail shot is the one in flight with sandeels as expertly captured by Richard. I haven't checked my shots yet.
