Batrachospermum is a type of Green Algae showing its arbuscular or tree like form, collected from the source of a natural spring found between Newcastle Emlyn and Ffostrasol. About a mile out of NE there is a layby next to a farm track on the Ffostrasol road, walk down track gate on left into horse field, carry on down hill, through hedge into woods, algae is found at the head of a stream emanating from a natural spring.
