Slebech starling murmuration

There was a superb display at dusk yesterday for a few moments but most groups just flew straight in. Perhaps this was because there were no raptors present. An added bonus was a kingfisher flitting backwards and forwards across the river. New blog photo by Mike Crutchley.

  1. Are the birds there at the moment? What is the best time to see them. I want to take my grandchildren to see the 'performance' although i understand there are no guarantees! Thanks Ben

  3. Sorry, I've only just seen this Ben. Arrive around 3.30pm. I guess they have been using the Slebech roost for much longer this season due to it being so windy. I don't know if they are still there now.
