7 armed starfish at St Brides
I found Luidia ciliaris in an upper shore pool at St Brides today. It's usually sub-littoral and can grow to 60cm across, but this one was about 3cm across and obviously hadn't read where it was supposed to be found.
I have a photo of a small Luidia ciliaris in a rock pool at St Brides too. I found it on one of Francis Bunkers seaweed courses a few years ago. Maybe they have nursery rockpools at St Brides!
