Eel at Martin's Haven

Whilst clearing out a heavily silted up small pond, I disturbed a male silver eel. It was about a foot long and finger-thin, and quickly burrowed back into the silt. The pond drains into Martin's Haven via the stream by the Deer Park gates, but still quite an effort for an eel to get there, and not a lot of obvious food once it has.
