Found on the sand dunes of Freshwater East today by my brother Antony, We think it's a young adder but can anyone confirm.
Looks like about the size of pencil - judging from the shell and the vegetation nearby, so yes, a young adder, probably born this summer. The brown coloration makes it a female - the males tend to be silver and black
