Frogspawn

On Sunday 26th Jan,I found 13 clumps of frogspawn in the ditch which runs through
the sheep field next to my home in Cresselly. This is at least 2 weeks earlier than at the
same site last year.The water levels are very high at the moment but this ditch dries out almost completely,by August, most years.This means it's a race against time for the tadpoles and an early start this year will give them a good chance if freezing weather in Feb doesn't get them!
