Grass vetchling resurfaces in Honeyborough

The grass vetchling Lathyrus nissolia has been spotted near the Honeyborough roundabout Nissan garage.  This plant is rarely found in Pembrokeshire and had been thought extinct in this locality.  Identified by Allan Hansen; photo by Alan Brown.

  1. Over 100 flowering plants, along a 50 metre stretch of verge.I haven't found any at the nearby, sadly mismanaged Westfield Pill Nature Reserve for the last three years.

  2. There are 3 groups of 8 plants on the inland road at Kilpaison. They are late cutting the verges this year which may be why this is the first year that we have noticed them
