Unknown species
I took this shot yesterday when walking around Llangloffan fen and am at a loss
as to its origin. Can anyone help? Elwyn
Looks like an adder on its back. I hope it was attacked by a corvid rather than bludgeoned to death by a walker's stick.
ReplyDeletePeter.
Very likely the cast skin of a Slow Worm - Anguis fragilis.
ReplyDeleteLooking again it does seem as if the Slow Worm still has some of its flesh left inside the skin. Could be any predator as the culprit.
