Winter casualties at Martin's Haven

A couple of dead animals that we found in the garden here over the weekend:
1) a mouse that we believe to be a Wood Mouse (happy to be corrected; it was a pretty large fat thing, definitely larger than most House Mice).
2) A wonderfully-coloured lizard. We are slightly less certain about this one, because it is far "brighter" than the usual Common Lizards in the area, with the upper parts being noticeable green, and the underparts being almost newt-like orange!
Any corrections to our IDs very gratefully accepted

  1. I would say that the lizard is most definitely a Common Lizard, the orange underbelly being prevalent in males! :-)
