Good camouflage

Walking in Sam's Wood near Landshipping at the weekend, we disturbed a moth from a tree trunk which then flew to another tree just in front of me. It landed on a green mossy patch on which it was obviously very unhappy as it walked around the tree till it found some suitable bare bark. It then turned round, settled down and disappeared! It was a Square Spot moth and it was extremely well camouflaged on the oak bark. Hard to photograph too,
as it was impossible to find in the view-finder! (Incidentally the Bluebells were excellent here)
